FSP starts the New Year with some exciting developments for the team:

Sam Fox has been promoted to Associate Director – Property, with responsibility for managing FSP’s consultancy team and leading core consultancy services.  Sam joined FSP in 2012 and works extensively with many of FSP’s major clients, including Legal & General, Multi and Redefine International.  Sam is also playing an increasingly important role in FSP’s growing international business, particularly in France and Ireland where she has developed strong relationships with a number of key players.

FSP’s consultancy team has been strengthened with the appointment of Joanne Biddle.  Jo joins from Sainsbury’s and M&S, where she was responsible for assessing potential locations for new neighbourhood stores, as well as delivering new forecourt stores.  In an increasingly competitive and innovative retail market, Jo’s understanding of key business drivers and the property decision processes at two of the UK’s largest retailers is highly relevant to investors.  Her role with FSP will draw on this experience to prioritise opportunities, offer insight and recommend solutions to FSP’s investment clients.

Kate Bickerton has been promoted to Senior Analyst.  Kate joined FSP as Graduate Analyst in 2015 and has quickly developed the depth of skills and breadth of experience necessary to lead the technical analysis for FSP’s most complex projects.  Kate’s experience includes shopping centre, outlet centre, retail park and shopping village projects in the UK and Europe and she has recently been instrumental in upgrading FSP’s project reporting templates.  In her new role, Kate is being given responsibility for developing FSP’s STAR retailer sales monitoring and will help to mentor FSP’s Graduate Analysts

Sophie Pisano has been promoted to Analyst.  Since joining FSP as Graduate Analyst in 2016, Sophie has mastered how to model retail catchments, assess sustainable rents and prepare leasing summaries for target occupiers.   She has worked on a variety of projects including The Lexicon Bracknell, Washington Square Workington, Scotch Corner Designer Outlet and Stevenage Leisure Park and this broad experience will be invaluable as Sophie extends the scope of her role in future projects.

At FSP, we take pride in our understanding of why occupier profitability is different from place to place. This goes well beyond market size estimates or demographics; getting it right calls for the fusion of outstanding analysis, trading intelligence and location experience from the bottom up, with informed insight on trends, knowledge of property decisions plus an objective and inquisitive view from the top down. Developing this unique combination takes many years and I am not only delighted to congratulate Sam, Kate and Sophie on their progress but also to welcome Jo to FSP. The market will be no less challenging in 2018 but it is reassuring to know that FSP has the unique combination of skills, knowledge and approach to bring success to our clients now and in the years ahead.
